It is essential that you do not delete iMCards on your iPhone / iPod touch. Just install the update over the current version. Like in all other applications all user data get lost when the application is deleted. So you will loose all your imported lessons.
| What's the difference between iMCards and IMCards Lite? ^ |
IMCards Lite is free and the only limitation is that the import of bought or self created lessons is not possible. The application includes the complete Basic German vocabulary and many examples. Furthermore there are a lot of free lessons for download available. Due this you are able to test all features.
When you like the program and you want learn other lessons, you have to buy the full version for $ 5,99 from AppStore. With this you are in the position to learn also with bought lessons.
There is a PC program to create own lessons, it's PrismaCards. It is Shareware and you are able to test all features. The export to iPhone will be possible with next version, which will hit the store in January 2009. Updates are always free, so there is no reason to wait for the next version, you can start to create flash cards just now. As sonn as version 3.1 is ready you can export the lessons to your iPhone/iPod touch.

Here different possible scenarios are pointed out:
Learn only on iPhone / iPod touch
With iMCards you may create new lessons and learn on the iPhone. In iMCards and iMCards Lite there are a lot of free lessons available. For iMCards you can bye some of the additional data bases with flash cards for different languages and topics.
Create own flash cards and learn on PC and/or iPhone/iPod touch
The full version of PrismaCards is a good choice. Thus own flash cards can be created and transferred to the iPhone. Of course you can acquire some the additional data bases with flash cards. At the PC these are then expandable and can be transferred to the PDA/SmartPhone. You are ready to learn 'mobile' wherever and whenever you want.
With iMCardsPC there is a free program on the PC available. It is very good to create flash cards and transfer them to the iPhone.
